Luke McGinnell Joins Church!

First team manager Ian Richards has made one more addition to the first team squad ahead of the start of the new season.

Luke has impressed in pre-season enough to make him the first new addition to the squad following the early signings of Will Wraith, Charlie Baird and Alex O’Keefe.

Luke is a centre half & a products of the Barnsley FC Scholarship and has also spent time with Walsall FC.

Manager Ian Richards added, “Luke is a great signing for the club. Since been invited to pre season his attitude, commitment and work ethic have been exemplary. It is credit to him and his character for this but also to the education he has received on the Barnsley Scholar Programme. He is a quick, athletic central defender whom has a strong hunger and desire to improve. Once he gets accustomed to this division he is going to be a real asset to the the squad”.
