News > Pre-Season Schedule
As we approach the new season after the longest close season known, we also continue to bare in mind that everyone’s health and well being must come first.
Following government and FA guidelines, as it stands, our pre-season schedule will be played behind closed doors. If this changes we’ll do all we can to open the gates to our home games and to let you know in the first instance.
By the time competitive football starts indications are the gates will be open and manageable crowds will be allowed in.
With regards to pre-season we’ll also share soon Lenny’s plans for the reserve teams pre-season games.
Ian and the first team start back on Monday the 10th August with an away game vs North West Counties side and local rivals AFC Emley with a 7:30pm KO.
The following Saturday (Saturday 15th August) we’ll be at home vs Sheffield FC with a 3pm KO.
Less than 48 hours later we now host Worsborough Bridge at the DSM Memorial Ground on Monday 17th August, a local side on the up from NCEL Division One.
Next up is a classic clash away at Shelley on Thursday 20th August at 7:30pm for yet another exciting friendly at Storthes Hall.
After a good few games in quick succession, we then host Ossett United at the DSM Memorial Ground on Monday 24th August for a 7:30pm KO. A great game with the potential for us to see some familiar faces in different colours in the form of ex Church players Max Dearnley and Nathan Keightley.
Brighouse Town then make the trip to the DSM Memorial Ground on Friday the 28th of August with a 7:30pm KO. Who knows, by this date we may be allowed spectators...
As we say, keep an eye out - we’ll update this page throughout pre-season.
