⚽ FULL TIME 🔵Dearne & District Ladies 0–3 Penistone Church Women⚫️ Another three points on the road for Church! 🙌 We created plenty of chances in the first half before Ava Rhodes-Smith finally broke the deadlock, smashing a driven finish into the roof of the net. Dearne always carried a threat though, and we went into the break just 1–0 ahead. We couldn’t have started the second half any better. Some excellent work down the left from Alice Norman created the opportunity for

PCFC 2 - 2 Pickering Town - Reaction
Another close NCEL Premier Division encounter yesterday at the Simply Log Cabins Memorial Ground. Not much to choose between Church and Pickering from a footballing point of view by half time, but somehow Church were 2-0 down and facing a stern challenge to get back into the game. Pickering hit 2 quick fire goals within a couple of mins early in the first half, one a really well taken finish and one on the back of a defensive mix up. 2-0 flattered Pickering at that stage b

Congrats to Harry Viggars POTM July/August
Massive congratulations to Harry who in our recent poll was awarded Player of the Month for July/August by the fans . This following a string of calm and commanding performances at the heart of the Church defence. Harry has slotted in like he has been here for years. A great start to his Church career and fantastic to see this early impression has been recognised by all at the club. Well Done Harry & Keep up the fine work.

Knaresborough 2 - 0 PCFC
Church are knocked out of the NCEL League Cup at Knaresborough after a fairly mediocre game of few chances. It was pretty uninspiring stuff all round this evening, with nothing really between the two sides. Jubby speaks with Dave Hampshire below about 2 set pieces being the difference and a bit more hunger and desire from the home side on the night, which was disappointing. Church fielded a much changed team giving players an opportunity that have so far had less minutes th

What a fantastic evening for our U11 and U12 girls as they teamed up to watch the Sheffield Steelers take on the Panthers! It was brilliant to see everyone getting along so well, making memories, and enjoying each other's company away from the pitch. Building friendships, growing together, and having fun both on and off the pitch!

🖤🤍 MATCH DAY | Under 14 Whites 🖤🤍
After a pre-season focused on recruiting new players the U14 whites took the opportunity of an early free Saturday in the league season to take on a friendly against our good friends at Thorncliffe Villa. A very competitive game of football with Thorncliffe coming out on top; scoring a couple of late goals as Church chased the game. The scoreline didn’t really reflect how even the game was and the coaching team were full of praise for the Church girls which includes 5 players

A Brilliant 4-0 Victory for Penistone U12 Girls!
A brilliant result from the girls for their third game and second win of the season, securing a 4-0 win at home against Wingerworth. We showed great positioning from the offset with Rosalina securing a goal within the first few minutes of play. This was Rosalina's first goal of the season and very well deserved capped off by an excellent all round performance making her today's Girl of the Game. Shortly after came Lourdes' goal, quickly followed by another one, giving us 3-0
U16 Blacks Kick The Season Off - Away at Bramley

The girls played really well together with Maisie , Brooke and Izzie making impressive league debuts for the team. A competitive 1st half ended 0-0 with Penistone creating several chances on the Bramley goal. Just after the interval Lilly scored with a direct run and composed finish into the bottom corner to make it 1-0 to Penistone - much to the delight of the Penisto

Penistone Church 1–7 Rawmarsh St Joseph’s
A tough result for the girls yesterday as we were beaten 7–1 by a strong and well-organised Rawmarsh St Joseph’s side. The scoreline will obviously be disappointing, but there were plenty of individual performances and positive signs to take from the game as we continue to learn and develop as a team. Girl of the Game, Pippa, deserves a special mention after showing fantastic energy, determination and resilience in just her second game for the team. A brilliant effort and a p
