Reserves 0 - 2 Hemsworth Miners Welfare
Last Friday evening ( 8th May 2026) Our reserve side contested the County Senior League Cup Final v League Champions Hemsworth Miners Welfare at the home of Doncaster Rovers FC - The Eco-Power Stadium. A good crowd in attendance and we have to say a massive thankyou to all the Church fans who travelled across to support the lads on the evening. The excitement is building as we look forward to contesting the 2026 County Senior League Cup Final against league champions Hemsworth Miners Welfare at Doncaster Rovers Eco-Power Stadium on Friday evening. Penistone Church Women can confirm that First Team Manager Mark O’Neill has sadly stepped down from his role after five years in charge. Mark has been offered an exciting opportunity with Huddersfield Town Women Development Squad, and whilst we’re sorry to see him step away, it’s a move he fully deserves and we wish him every success. U15 Blacks complete their best placed finish
U15 Blacks went into their final game of the season in good form, winning 2 out of their last 3 - but keen to make it 3 out of 4. The girls went behind early to a Bramley goal but that didn't stop them continuing to play their football. Our U14’s had their final game of the season facing a strong and physical Sprotbrough side away. A win could see us finish 4th so that was the aim for the day. Both sides had chances in the first half, Penistone even hitting the post.
