Allen Bethel - A Personal Tribute From Dave Hampshire
It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of Mr Allen Bethel, The Founder, driving force and former Chairman of Stocksbridge Park Steels FC who passed away in the early hours of this morning. Thursday night saw the last home game of the u21s tremendous 2025/26 season and brought with it a fantastic performance and result. In their penultimate match of the County Senior League Premier Division campaign, Wrighty, Drewy and the lads travelled the short distance to local rivals Dodworth MW for a 6.30pm kickoff. Having recently beaten Dodworth MW in the League Cup Semi Final, the lads travelled with confidence and continued their epic league form by gaining a 4-2 victory to keep the late season momentum building.
